Beidh Seachtain na Gaeilge faoi lán seoil i gCeatharlach ó 1ú - 17ú Márta.

Ar chlár na féile tá drámaíocht, spraoicheisteanna, ceardlanna, céilithe agus Seachtain na Gaeilge 2017 sean-nós maraon le mórshiúl agus imeachtaí ceiliúrtha Lá Fhéile Phádraig.

I measc na n-imeachtaí do scoileanna tá spraoicheisteanna do bhunscoileanna agus do lucht na hidirbhliana, comórtas ealaíne an earraigh agus an seó stáitse “Caith Amach É!” atá dírithe ar mhic léinn atá ag ullmhú do Bhealtriail na hArdteistiméireachta. Léireoidh daltaí bunscoile rogha drámaí as Gaeilge. Reáchtáilfear ceardlann ceardaíochta do theaghlaigh faoi stiúir an ealaíontóra Jean Robertson agus le téama na Féile Pádraig.

Beidh Aifreann as Gaeilge agus beannú na seamróige in Ardeaglais Cheatharlach ag 11.00r.n. ar Lá le Pádraig agus an mórshiúl ar na sráideanna san iarnóin chomh maith le Céilí Mór na féile an oíche chéanna sa Chlub Iománaíochta.


Seachtain na Gaeilge will run over two weeks from 1st - 17th March in Carlow.

A Seachtain na Gaeilge 2017 vast array of activities is planned to celebrate the Irish language. Festival highlights for 2017 including a schools’ drama festival, a theatre show, table Quizzes, an art competition and of course the St Patrick’s Day celebrations.

The festival kicks off with a performance of the Leaving Cert Oral Irish stage show ‘Caith Amach É’ in the GB Shaw theatre presented by Highrock Productions. Féile Scoildrámaíochta will feature short dramas staged by primary school pupils. There will be table quizzes for both Primary and Post-Primary schools as well as the popular Spring Art Competition for primary schools and a bilingual St. Patrick ’s Day themed family art workshop.

The grand finale will feature the St Patrick’s Day Celebrations including the Festival Parade and a Céilí Mór.

Ar an suíomh seo tá eolas ar Chúrsaí Gaeilge, Féilte i gCeatharlach, An Ghaeilge sa Phobal, Clár an tSamhraidh agus an Ghaeilge ins na meáin áitiúla. Chomh maith leis sin tá na scéalta nuachta is déanaí ó thaobh na Gaeilge i gCeatharlach agus eolas ar imeachtaí agus ar ghníomhaíochtaí inar féidir leat féin páirt a ghlacadh chun do thacaíocht don teanga a léiriú.
